First Aid Course Joining Instructions
Thank you for choosing to complete your First Aid Training with First Aid and Safety Training.
The joining instructions for all our courses are below, the only aspect that will change is the start date of the course.
All training takes place at our South Shields Training Centre. You can find it on Google Maps by searching for First Aid and Safety Training South Shields or Armstrong’s Bar South Shields. The full address is First Aid and Safety Training, Stanhope Road, South Shields, NE33 4BQ.
To access the training centre please use the side door of the building located on Crondall Street, the front entrance of the building will be closed.

The starting time for all courses is 09:00 hrs, please arrive 10 minutes early for a coffee and course registration.
Please ensure your name, address, email and phone number is clearly written on the registration document, these will be the details used for your certificate and where it will be emailed/posted to.
We aim to be finished by the latest time of 16:30 hrs, please make sure you allow enough time to cover this, the final assessment is completed in the last 30 minutes and if you leave early, you may fail the course.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided, please inform us if you have any allergies or requirements.
An ID check will be conducted during registration, any type of photo ID is fine for this.
Course Completion
On finishing your course your results will be submitted to Qualsafe, this can take up to 3 days. You will receive a digital eCertificate, this will be followed later by a printed certificate.
If you require confirmation of course attendance and completion immediatly, please inform the training staff so that an email can be sent out, this will cover the interim period whilst waiting for your eCertificate.
First Aid Refresher Courses and Half Day Training
The 1/2 day courses will run between 09:00 hrs and 12:00 hrs or between 13:00 hrs and 16:00 hrs. The time will be stated on the course when you make the purchase online.
Cancellations and amendments
Please provide at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or change your course date, we do not provide refunds but will move the learner to the next available course, however, this will only be done twice.
If we are not informed with at least 48 hours notice the course place cannot be allocated to another learner and the date changed to another course.
