What You Will Learn on a First Aid at Work Course
The First Aid at Work course goes far beyond the basics, giving learners a deeper level of knowledge, more hands-on practice and the confidence to deal with a wider range of real-life situations. Over three days, there is more time to build understanding, practise skills repeatedly and work through realistic scenarios, rather than just covering the essentials.
This makes it the ideal choice for higher-risk workplaces or for anyone who wants to feel fully prepared, not just compliant. If you are responsible for others or want a more in-depth, confidence-building approach to first aid, the First Aid at Work course is the stronger option.
- Perform CPR and Basic Life Support (adult, child and baby)
- Use a defibrillator (AED)
- Manage an unconscious casualty
- Respond to cardiac arrest and breathing emergencies
- Control severe bleeding and trauma
- Treat burns, wounds and injuries
- Manage fractures and breaks
- Respond to medical emergencies including:
- Asthma
- Anaphylaxis
- Diabetes
- Seizures
Why Choose a First Aid at Work Course Over Emergency First Aid?
The First Aid at Work course North East provides a deeper level of training, with more time to practise skills and work through realistic scenarios.
Over three days, learners gain:
Greater confidence through repetition
More hands-on practical experience
A broader understanding of emergency situations
This makes it the ideal choice for higher-risk workplaces or anyone wanting to feel fully prepared, not just meet minimum requirements.
