Paediatric First Aid Refresher Course
The Paediatric First Aid Refresher Course takes 3 hours to complete and is a very interactive and scenario based short course. The course can be completed at our South Shields Training Centre, on-site at your workplace or as a group booking at First Aid and Safety Training.
What You Will Learn On The Refresher Course
The Paediatric First Aid Refresher Course will refresh and test your knowledge and skills when it comes to knowing what to do in an Paediatric Emergency situation.
Within the Refresher Course you will have a lot of hands on testing when you complete 5 Paediatric First Aid scenarios and incidents and will cover the following:
- Be able to assess an emergency situation safely.
- Be able to provide First Aid for an infant and a child who is unresponsive and not breathing normally.
- Be able to provide First Aid for an infant and a child who is unresponsive and breathing normally.
- Be able to provide First Aid for an infant and a child who is choking.
CPR. - Use of an AED and correct placement of AED pads.
- Follows AED instructions.
- Placing child or baby in the recovery position.
- Maintain a stable open draining airway.
- Provide appropriate help to a child or infant (baby), manage the situation and seek appropriate assistance when necessary.
