Our trainer will attend your premises (or your staff can attend our training centre) and conduct the Paediatric First Aid Refresher Course for up to 12 people in one go, making this the easiest solution to ensure your staff are compliant and in-date for their First Aid Training.
The course will run from either 9 am to 12 pm or 1 pm to 4 pm, weekends and evening training can be accommodated for, all equipment is provided and the refresher is nationally recognised, awarded by Qualsafe and ensures your staff remain as up to date as possible for a further year.

Open Courses
If you do not have enough staff to require on-site First Aid Training, we run monthly open courses where you can book individual places for your staff.
First Aid and Safety Training run monthly Emergency First Aid At Work Courses on Thursdays from 9 am to 4.30 pm at Armstrong Hall in South Shields.
What is covered in the Emergency Paediatric First Aid Refresher Course?
Within the Refresher Course you will have a lot of hands-on testing when you complete 5 Paediatric First Aid scenarios and incidents and will cover the following:
- Be able to assess an emergency situation safely.
- Be able to provide First Aid for an infant and a child who is unresponsive and not breathing normally.
- Be able to provide First Aid for an infant and a child who is unresponsive and breathing normally.
- Be able to provide First Aid for an infant and a child who is choking.
CPR. - Use of an AED and correct placement of AED pads.
- Follows AED instructions.
- Placing child or baby in the recovery position.
- Maintain a stable open draining airway.
- Provide appropriate help to a child or infant (baby), manage the situation and seek appropriate assistance when necessary.

The Paediatric First Aid At Work Refresher Course teaches your staff everything they need to know in the event of an emergency at work.
The course is delivered in an interesting manner that guarantees that your employees will know how to react accordingly during a first-aid situation, and possibly save someone’s life.
